Rory O’Brien traces the history of the Spiritualist movement, looking at the famous and infamous characters and historical figures who tried to contact the dead in the 19th Century.

We will also go beyond the séance room, and touch on various social causes, religious and philosophical controversies, and even political debates connected to the movement. This will be a fun talk with a lot of great stories about strange goings-on over a century ago!
